I wasn’t always the smiling parent pushing a stroller who I am today. You all want transparency and I want to be as transparent with you as possible, which is why I want to tell you where I came from.
I grew up in a small town, was a bad kid, rode motorcycles too fast, used bad language, had a pierced lip, went to parties, and got in trouble – which was the best thing that ever happened to me and allowed me to be who I am today.
When I was in my early twenties, I was young and dumb with a fast car. I made the decision not to pull over for speeding and it caught up with me.
After that, I began a relationship with Christ, found a deep respect for law enforcement, was able to grow in a career from call center agent to the executive of a $2B company, married a wonderful wife, became a foster parent, adopted children, found a love for volunteering, received a pardon from the governor, became interested in city government and whole lot of other things which happened along the way.
I was able to see firsthand the power which Government has to change lives and create a better future. I’m not perfect, but I try to become a little better each day. I will go far beyond what you expect of me to insure the best possible future for Tega Cay.
