About this policy
BPO Revenue Watch is provided by Christoph Halverson ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the BPO Revenue Watch app, its related website, and support services.
The app presents business process outsourcing and customer experience industry information, including company revenue data and trends. Public company financial information displayed in the app is distinct from personal information about app users.
Information we handle
The information involved depends on the app version, available features, and how you use them:
- Account details: If you create or use an account, we may process your name, email address, account identifier, sign-in information, and preferences to provide account access.
- Usage and technical information: Where analytics or diagnostics are enabled, we may process app interactions, feature usage, app and operating system versions, device type, IP address, timestamps, and error or crash information to understand performance and improve the app.
- Support communications: If you contact us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
- Website visits: This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. The hosting provider may process connection and server-log information, including your IP address, to deliver and secure the website. These static pages do not include added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or contact forms. Information handled by GitHub is subject to the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Information stored on your device: The app may store preferences, cached public revenue data, and feed history locally to support its features and offline access. Local storage does not by itself mean this information is sent to us.
How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain the app; manage accounts where available; remember preferences; diagnose problems; understand feature usage; improve reliability and usability; respond to support and privacy requests; protect against misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Service providers and external services
Service providers may process information on our behalf for hosting, account authentication, analytics, diagnostics, or support, where those services are used. Information disclosed to these providers should be limited to what is needed for their role and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
The app retrieves public financial and exchange-rate information from external data sources. The current Android implementation connects to Yahoo Finance and the Frankfurter exchange-rate service. When your device connects to an external service, that service receives network information such as your IP address, request time, and requested resource, and handles it under its own privacy practices.
Apple, Google, app stores, and websites you choose to visit also handle information under their own policies. Device or app-store settings may control some diagnostic information shared with those platforms.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights and security, or carry out a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing the service, addressing support issues, maintaining security, and satisfying legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information, why it is needed, and applicable requirements.
You can request deletion of personal information we hold by emailing CH@christophhalverson.com. Please identify the app and the email address associated with your request. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, and backup copies may remain until they are removed through the normal backup cycle.
To remove locally stored app information, use your device's app-storage controls or delete the app. Device or cloud backups may require separate deletion through the relevant platform. Removing the app does not automatically delete information held by us or an external service.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or raise a complaint with a privacy regulator.
Use available app and device privacy settings to manage permissions and optional data sharing. To exercise rights or ask about analytics choices, contact us at the address below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
Security and processing locations
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ; applicable safeguards are required where the law calls for them.
Children
BPO Revenue Watch is intended for a general adult and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. The revised policy will display an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying material changes.
